It's kind of hard for me to believe it's been over eight months since I updated the news here. Part of that has been hoping for a major overhaul of my webpage to give it a far more professional appearance. It may be a while, though, before it comes up in the queue of the skilled webpage designer.

I did another interview a couple of months ago over on Patty Wysong's blog, Patterings. I'm always happy to discuss Cardan's Pod, the art of writing, other projects, and life in general. Patty, or Peej as her friends call her, does an excellent job with interviews, and she has a number of other writers featured on her blog for your reading pleasure (both on the blog, and with the books written by the featured authors).

In less than two months, I'll celebrate my Fiftieth birthday. No particular plans yet, and unlike many folks my age, the idea of hitting the Big Five Oh doesn't distress me. I've known too many people who didn't get the chance to turn fifty to not be thankful for each day that God has granted me.

Nancy and I will be traveling to Mexico soon for our third Scuba trip, getting more dive experience before our 30th Anniversary trip to Beqa Lagoon, Fiji early in 2010. We're enjoying the sport of diving, so if you've ever thought about investigating Scuba, we can't encourage you enough to go visit your local dive center and check it out. It really is a different world beneath the surface.

I'm also finally on Facebook, and will most likely create a Cardan's Pod page before long. If anyone is actually reading this news post, and would like to send a friend request to me over on Facebook, just let me know who you are.

The Friday Fiction project is still ongoing, and you can find both excerpts from all my novels included, along with short stories posted for your reading consideration, on my blog, Pod Tales and Ponderings.  "Hogs of the Heavens", which Nancy says is the strangest story I've yet written, will conclude on my blog this week. While you're there, be sure to click over to each week's host and follow MckLinky to the other submissions for each week.  There's some fun and entertaining - and even enlightening - writing showing up each week.
