Those dropping back in will likely notice the increase in the shipping costs for purchasing the book.  As of Monday, May 12th, the USPS rates increased to offset their costs.  With the recent  inflation on gasoline, my guess is their increase isn't going to be as much of an offset as originally planned.  Media Mail is still a fairly reasonable shipping option, and so far I haven't heard of any copies being lost or unduly delayed by it.

Beginning this week, I'm going to inquire about book signings at local bookstores.  I've found Cardan's Pod listed on at least a couple of Christian bookstore webpages now, making an author signing event at those stores a greater likelihood.  It's also likely I'll sit at a table and feel darn near invisible when I do have one, but that's part of the game.  Watch this news page for scheduled events.

A bit farther down the calendar, I'm heading to San Diego Comic Con this year as part of the Collector Times staff.  If you've never been to Comic Con, it's an almost surreal, fun experience.  If you go in costume, as I did a few years ago, it can be the closest most of us will ever come to feeling like a celebrity.  People want to take your picture, or have their picture taken with you.  If you're there, watch for the older guy with the ZZ Top beard.  It might be me.

Things are going to get real lively around the house very soon.  We have six Australian Shepherd puppies nearing three weeks of age, so they're reaching the "exploring" stage.  Our Mama dog has wanted something to herd since we got her, and it looks like she's about to get her wish.  Heh heh.  File that under, "Be careful what you wish for."

The links page now includes a number of web pages of potential interest.  Please check it out.

That's all the news for now.  Another update when new developments occur!
